Dear Paul:

A Better Community For All (ABC4All) Co-Founders, on behalf of the ABC4All Community convey the following message on the occasion of the Jazz For Peace (JFP) Concert being held on behalf of the Empaash Olorienito Conservancy on February 19, 2010:

Those who viewed the CBS-TV 60-Minutes piece on "The Great Migration" understand the critical nature of the charge of the Empaash Olorienito Conservancy:

Given the state of affairs of the world, there is little need to document still further the major challenges ahead that need to be confronted.  Rather, in keeping with the thrust of ABC4All to focus on "What The World Needs Now," we applaud the joint effort being undertaken with this fundraising concert and express appreciation to all associated with making the evening possible.  Below we reproduce the information from the Jazz For Peace Foundation.

After the introduction to ABC4All of the Jazz For Peace Foundation by ABC4All Mentor Arlan Berglas,
http://profiles.tigweb.org/arlan, there quickly developed plans to implement a partnership between JFP and ABC4All.  Thus ABC4All has been sharing information about this concert in Kenya at first with 72 ABC4All Mentors in Kenya.  Subsequently 2 more Kenyans have joined the ABC4All Global Mentoring TEAM Project http://projects.tigweb.org/abc4allglobalteam
We are so grateful that one of the newest Kenyan Mentors is Paul Kilelu, EOC Manager.  Thus this concert in Kenya marks the launch of the JFP / ABC4All Partnership.  After tonight, any ABC4All Mentor in 109 countries can submit a request for a grant, with the ability for the co-sponsorship between ABC4All and JFP and a local worthwhile cause to create other opportunities for ABC4All/JFP fundraising Concerts.

It is not possible to convey here all the gratitude and appreciation felt, not only for the support being engendered for the Empaash Olorienito Conservancy but for planned joint effort between JFP and ABC4All to bring Global Humanitarian Relief (GHR) to the world.  Thus we conclude that the EOC Conservancy Concert not only marks the start of such a promising long-term relationship between the socially conscious JFP Group, but we at ABC4All also pledge to hold future repeat joint JFP/ABC4All fundraising concerts on behalf of EOC in the years to come.  It is obvious that one fundraising concert will not take care of the issues being confronted by EOC.

Wishing everyone present well, we especially want to give our sincere thanks to the Jazz For Peace Foundation - Rick DellaRata, the musicians and the entire staff, for such outstanding cooperation and support to EOC tonight and for the future efforts of the JFP/ABC4All partnership beyond.

Nairobi, Kenya – On Saturday February 19, 2011 6:00 PM. Jazz for Peace featuring Singer / Pianist / Composer Rick DellaRatta, considered by many to be one of the finest Jazz Artists performing today, will perform a special Benefit Concert for The Empaash Oloorientito Conservancy Trust in Nairobi, Kenya.

This concert will also raise awareness and address the problems facing the Masai Mara, home to the largest migration of animals in the world.

EOC believes that the region's rich natural resource and cultural wealth can be used to expand cultural and eco-based tourism, and provide a significant economic and social development in the local communities. For more information please visit http://www.empaash-o-c.byethost24.com

Having performed with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Paquito D' Rivera, Rick DellaRatta is now considered by many to be one of the finest Singer/Pianists performing today and one of only a handful of Jazz Artists who can make a successful musical presentation to a large audience without having to abandon the true art form of Jazz. His unique and original piano playing and composing has been compared in print to Chick Corea, Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner and Thelonius Monk while his signature vocal sound and style has been likened to Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, Michael Franks and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Recently, Rick DellaRatta was included in the Book “Jazz Singers” as one of the top Jazz Vocalists of all time and by The Foundation Center in their list of the top musician philanthropists of our time along with Bono (U2), Elton John, Peter Gabriel and Sting.

NOTE: Bob Chew has added the following important addendum to the message: From: Bob Chew, ABC4All Co-Founder http://abc4all.net/profile.htm and http://abc4all.net/bc.htm Hello Everyone: Robert Chew, as Co-Founder with ABC4All Team, we are aware that solar pumping stations in most areas of Africa are possible. The technology will be made available via networks of networks that have studied the water tables ofall of Africa and can also be of some help in this arena to minimize the costs of installation of the technology to resurface the ground water to places where animals can drink. Regards, bob chew
